Big Bear Book & Bean originally opened on July 27, 2001. At that time, it was a terrific bookstore with coffee and gifts. Over time, we have branched out in numerous directions including new ownership in June 2006. We are still very much a bookstore and, although we cannot possibly carry every title known to man (or even every book that we want), we are very proud of our selection. It is not your "run of the mill" everyday bookstore. We specially select each and every book, paying special attention to those books that are going to be placed in the hands of children and young adults.
